RIP Chris Starks: SSU Fam

Yesterday on August 27th,  at Savannah State
University’s Student Union, Chris Starks was a victim to gun violence. He was a junior in college, an East Atlanta native, a friend to many, and an artistic human being. In spite of the horrific fatal shooting of Chris Starks, the school came together this afternoon at the unity plot to celebrate Chris’s death.

Fate is both ugly and beautiful, as it takes the lives of our loved ones, but his family, friends, and SSU family has to remain strong, calm, and aware of his life. It’s sucks that many students, especially freshmen had to witness such violence last night, but the students were alert and contacted law enforcement as soon as possible.  Savannah_State_SSU_Wordmark

Many people from SSU, Atlanta, Ga, and everywhere else are showing their love and support on Stark’s social media accounts and their own. The NoExpectations4Us Team is here to bring enlightenment, show love, and celebrate Chris Starks, for he was our SSU family. Rest easy Chris. You are loved by many.

  1. I did not know this Young Man personally, but I worked with his Uncle here in Fairburn, Ga for 3 years, at a High School. I also attended the “College, by the Sea”. I have been praying without cease for his entire family, our LHHS family, and my SSC/SSU Family. God Bless his purpose!
I cried for this Baby, as I too experienced losing a few students this year to gun violence. I am also praying for healing for our entire Nation. One Love…. -Ms. Jones
