Praying For the Youth: Spring Valley High School

A couple of days ago, videos of a black teenage girl, in a Spring Valley High School classroom, being slammed and dragged by a white police officer surfaced the Internet on major social media sites.  In the past year or so, many witnesses have practiced their legal right to record wrongful activities of police officers injurying or killing unarmed victims.

Many people on social media are arguing that the black teenage girl deserved the physical abuse by the officer because “she must have done something to deserve that”. Who deserves to be body slammed and dragged profusely in a combative manner? Does a high school teenage girl deserve to be maliciously attacked by a stalwart grown man? Whether the victim is black or white, male or female, big or small, no one deserves to be slammed and dragged in order to be apprehended.

We will definitely monitor and keep up with this case to see what both the officer and the student says happened, but at the end of the day the video showed so much. The mistreatment and abuse of any human being is not acceptable.
