What I get out of #BlackHistoryMonth, after 22 years of life is not that we are recognizing the first black people or black people that have done great things in history. No, NOT AT ALL. It’s about recognizing people, despite of skin completion and adversity for CENTURIES. Telling our history, which is WORLD HISTORY, acknowledging all the amazing things we have done DESPITE of skin completion and adversity.
We don’t do this for recognition. We do the things we do because if we didn’t our whole being; mind, body, and soul would be diminished. Our whole aura and chakras wouldn’t align in gratitude to the universe. Our whole purpose of life would be nothing but broken corpses buried in a horrific apocalypse of worthlessness.
